Cardiology Department in Sri Ramakrishna Hospital was started in 1991 by Dr.S.Manoharan MD, DM.,(Cardiology)

It is equipped with 12 bedded state of the art coronary care unit with all monitoring facilities. Facilities are available for stress testing, Echo Doppler including Transnesophageal Echo and Holder monitoring.

Angiograms Angioplasties, Stent implantation, valvuloplasties, pacemaker implantations and other invasive procedures are done in Siemens cath. lab.

We also have 64 multislice CT scanner which allows to perform Non-invasive CT coronary angiography.

The Department has two consultants.

Dr.S.Manoharan MD, DM., (Cardiology). He had his cardiology training in GB pant hospital, New Delhi. He is practicing in Coimbatore for the past 20 years. He is an interventional Cardiologist and has performed more than 500 coronary angioplasties, 300 Balloon valvuloplasties, 200 pacemaker implantations and many other invasive procedures including peripheral Angioplasties. He has sound knowledge of Paediatric Cardiology and is good at arrhythmia management.
