Dr Arun Ramraj did his under graduation (MBBS) from the prestigious Stanley Medical College – The Tamilnadu Dr MGR medical university, Chennai. He took up his two year radiology specialization ( DMRD) from Madurai Medical College, Madurai – Tamilnadu Dr MGR medical university. He then joined Department of Radiology and Imaging Sciences, Apollo main Hospital, Chennai as a senior resident and underwent further rigorous radiology training and specialization. He completed his DNB (radiology) – the National Board of Examinations, New Delhi on September 2009. He was working in Apollo main Hospital for five long years, then moved to Coimbatore and joined Sri Ramakrishna Hospital in April 2011 as a Consultant Radiologist. He underwent a special training in Dual Energy CT in the Medanta medicity, Gurgaon.
Training / Academic Experience
Dr Arun Ramraj has more than a decade of clinical radiology experience and expertise. He has been well qualified and experienced in all the modalities of Radiology. He has been performing and reporting all the diagnostic modalities like ultrasound, doppler studies,CT, MR & PET CT and doing interventions like guided procedures – biopsies , drainage etc. He has attended more than fifty international and national conferences during the last decade. He is a life member in various national radiology associations – IRIA, ICRI and ISNR. He had delivered many lectures and conducted case based discussions / image interpretation sessions in various national and state radiology conferences and CME. He has more than five years experience in clinical applications of Dual energy CT.
Dr Arun Ramraj has special interest in Neuroradiology, Cross-sectional body imaging, Oncoradiology, Dual energy CT and advanced MRI imaging. He is hard working and has been in the forefront in updating the recent advances in the diagnostic radiology techniques. He is well versed in various advanced MR imaging techniques( Perfusion & Spectroscopy) and Dual energy CT clinical applications like pulmonary embolism, lung nodule evaluation, imaging in gout, cardiac perfusion, renal calculi characterization and angiograms.
