She completed both her MBBS and MD in Microbiology from PSG Institute of Medical Sciences and Research in Coimbatore, where she also took on teaching responsibilities, handling classes for MBBS and DMLT students during her postgraduate studies.
Dr. Ashmi is a dedicated member of the Indian Association of Medical Microbiologists (IAMM) and is frequently invited as a speaker at various Continuing Medical Education (CME) events and conferences.
She has received specialized training in quality management systems, NABH (5th edition), and hospital infection control, reflecting her commitment to maintaining high standards of healthcare delivery.
Recently, Dr. Ashmi has taken a step forward in her education by completing an MBA in Hospital Management from Bharathiyar University in Coimbatore, enhancing her skills in healthcare administration.
Moreover, she serves as an ISO 15189:2022 Assessor for IQAS (International Quality and Accreditation Services LLP), contributing to the quality and competence of medical laboratories on an international level, recognized under APAC standards.
