Why India?

The cost of medical care in India is very low when compared to that in many western countries. India has a vast reservoir of skilled doctors. Many of them have proved their mettle in the US and UK and returned to India to work in hospitals here. The caliber of other doctors practicing in India is also of a very high order.

SRH offers world class medical facilities, comparable with any of the western countries. The physicians and surgeons at SRH are highly trained and have corresponding international medical qualifications. Some are trained abroad in the UK as well as the USA and have back to India to work. Each has specialized in their area of expertise, thereby offering you top notch care and treatment. SRH’s medical standards match up to the highly prescribed international standards. The lower costs are mainly attributed to the “SNR Sons Charitable Trust” that runs the hospital.

SRH is accredited by the NABH (National Accreditation Board for Hospitals & Healthcare Providers), a constituent body under the Quality Council of India overseeing the quality parameters of the healthcare sector in the 4th edition.

Accreditation instills a greater level of confidence amongst each of the stakeholders in the healthcare ecosystem – primarily the patient community. Certification by NABH not only recognizes the existing levels of standards but also provides a commitment to the continuation of the same standards. There is a greater impetus on patient rights and responsibilities and overall patient experience is periodically assessed.

The International Patient’s Department at SRH on receipt of your query or past medical records, as the case may be, will revert back to you with a comprehensive and custom-built treatment plan with

  1. Provisional diagnosis based on the medical reports given, 
  2. Further investigations that the patients will have to undergo the treatment options
  3. duration of stay required to be hospitalized and in India and the estimate of cost for the same.


On your consent to undergo treatment at SRH, we will send you a visa invitation for Medical Visa for the patient and Medical Attendant Visa for the accompanying attendant (Compulsory, in case where the patient is below 18 years of age or when the proposed treatment is surgery). In parallel, we will make a request with our diplomatic mission in your country to grant you the visa for a smooth process. On obtaining the visa and booking your tickets to fly, you are kindly requested to intimate to us on the date of journey to facilitate your visit. Our international patient coordinator will receive you at the airport and ensure your comfort.

We have multiple payment options,

  1. Credit or Debit Card : You can make a payment through your international debit or credit card (VISA / MASTERCARD). Make sure you activate the required limit for payment and international access.
  2. Bank Transfer : You can make a bank transfer to our account. Make sure to share the SWIFT OUT report with us as proof of payment.
  3. Pay in Foreign Currency : We accept payment in USD or GBP or EUR or AED or OMR or KWD or BHD or QAR or MYR or SGD or AUD. In case you are carrying cash for payment of treatment expenses in excess of $ 5,000/- you are required to furnish the ‘Currency Declaration Form’ (CDF) duly certified by the Indian Customs Authority while making payment.
Patient information is secure at all times with us. We maintain a very high standard pertaining to confidentialities regarding the transfer of sensitive materials & medical documents.
We offer ‘Second Opinion Services’ (SOS). On receiving your past medical reports and consulting fee, we will schedule an appointment with the specialist consultant through teleconference.
At SRH we have a dedicated Travel and Medical Concierge Desk which will help you in booking you flight tickets and find you an accommodation at a place of your choice and budget. Airport transfers from Coimbatore International Airport are complementary to our international patients.

SRH’s staff, both medical and non-medical, are fluent in English.

We have full time ‘Arabic’ translators and translators for other widely spoken languages can be arranged.

We do not charge a separate fee for translation services.

We have partnered with some of the renowned insurance companies.

In case you are not able to find the name of your insurer, we will help you with all documents that would be required to claim your reimbursement.

Please make sure you have intimated your insurer about your treatment at our hospital
We would provide you with emergency phone numbers of important persons at the hospital and should there be a need in case of emergency patients are also encouraged to connect to the hospital/ treating doctor through video conference or e- mail.
We will arrange a teleconference with the opining consultant at a scheduled appointment on payment of a fee.
