He commenced his medical journey by joining MBBS in 1971 at Tirunelveli Medical College.
Dr. Ramaswamy's dedication to medical service led him to join the Tamil Nadu Medical Services in 1979, where he contributed significantly to public healthcare.
In 1983, he was selected for M.D. in General Medicine at Coimbatore Medical College, further centering his expertise in medical practice.
After completing his M.D., Dr. Ramaswamy rejoined the government service, working across various government hospitals before assuming the role of Tutor in Medicine at Coimbatore Medical College in 1989.
Over the years, he ascended through the ranks, serving as Assistant Professor of Medicine until 1999, followed by promotions to Senior Civil Surgeon and Professor of Medicine in 2004.
His medical education and practice led him to transition into roles in private medical colleges from 2010 to 2012, where he continued to impart his knowledge and expertise.
Currently, he serves as a Professor of Medicine at Sri Ramakrishna Dental College & Hospital and as a Consultant in the Master Health Checkup department and Senior Medical Consultant department of Medicine at Sri Ramakrishna Hospital, Coimbatore, where he continues to make invaluable contributions to healthcare
