In 1993, he graduated with an M.D. in General Medicine from Coimbatore Medical College and Hospital.
Dr. Senthilvel began his career journey at Sri Ramakrishna Hospital immediately after completing his postgraduate studies, assuming the role of ICU Incharge in 1993.
He was swiftly promoted to the position of Assistant Medical Officer (AMO) at SRH in 1995.
Over the years, Dr. Senthilvel's dedication and commitment led to further advancement within the institution, getting promoted to the esteemed position of Professor and Head of the Department at Sri Ramakrishna Dental College in 2006.
