When you or a loved one is in the hospital, please ensure you are as kind as you can to the nurses. There is no one in the hospital whom you can trust more than the nursing staff. They’re a real patient advocate. Busy doctors sometimes are not as thoughtful about patient treatment as they could be, which is why it’s so awesome that nurses are so able to fight with the doctors to provide the best care available for their patients.
Do continue to do everything you can to help nurses and their efforts as your requirements. When the nurses are asking you to speak to the doctor about a certain part of your treatment, do so. In recognition of the devotion of nurses and midwives to their career WHO has declared 2020 as the “International Year of Nurses and Midwives” in the run-up to the COVID-19 pandemic. Nurses and midwives continue to be on the front line in the constant battle against COVID-19 and the availability of critical health services. This puts them at high risk of developing infectious diseases, like COVID-19.
