The Department of Cardiology at Sri Ramakrishna Hospital is accredited by the National Board of Examinations in Medical Sciences (NBEMS) to offer a comprehensive 3-year DrNB training program in Cardiology. Our department has a strong academic foundation and admits two candidates annually, providing focused, high-quality training.
Residents are actively involved in a high-volume, diverse case mix, ensuring robust exposure to both routine and complex cardiac conditions. The program emphasizes practical learning, supervised procedural training, and progressive independence.
Our training program is designed to develop well-rounded cardiologists with strong clinical acumen and procedural expertise. Candidates will gain:
Clinical Assessment & Management of Cardiac Disease
Proficiency in diagnostic coronary angiography and percutaneous coronary interventions (PTCA)
Hands on pacemaker implantation & exposure to device Interrogation
Exposure to 3D Electrophysiology Study (EPS) and Radiofrequency Ablation (RFA)
Hands on pediatric cardiac interventions, Exposure to Interventional Radiology procedures
